Zouk is Singapore's most iconic nightclub — a 35-year institution that helped define the country's club culture. After years on Jiak Kim Street, it moved to Clarke Quay in 2019 and expanded into a multi-floor entertainment complex. If you're going out in Singapore, Zouk is the name everyone knows.
Zouk isn't one club — it's four distinct rooms under one roof. The Main Room is the flagship space for electronic music: techno, house, trance, and big-room EDM. This is where international headliners play; the sound system is world-class. Phuture covers hip hop, R&B, and trap with a younger, louder crowd. Capital is the premium club-lounge hybrid with bottle service and VIP tables. Red Tail is the bar and lounge space for earlier evenings before the other rooms heat up.
Cover charges run from $20–$35 on weeknights and Fridays, up to $35–$40+ on Saturdays and public holiday eves. Guest list is available free on weekdays via Zouk's website or WhatsApp — worth doing. Drinks start at $15 for beers, cocktails run $18–$25, and table minimums start from $350.
The dress code is smart casual, enforced strictly: no shorts, sandals, or athletic wear. Jeans, chinos, sneakers, and shirts are all fine. For the Main Room, dress slightly sharper.
Friday is the sweet spot — big enough crowd without Saturday's queues and prices. Wednesday is Ladies' Night (free entry for women), one of the busiest midweek nights in Singapore. International acts typically play Saturdays.
Doors open at 10pm. The crowd builds from 11:30pm; peak energy is midnight to 2am. Last entry around 3am. Closes 4–6am on weekends. Arrive before 11pm on Saturdays to avoid the queue.
Zouk has hosted virtually every major name in electronic music over 35 years — from Pete Tong and Ferry Corsten in its early years to Fisher, Charlotte de Witte, and Amelie Lens more recently. The club's longevity comes from booking credible artists while remaining accessible to casual clubbers through Phuture and Capital. For visitors, it's the essential Singapore nightlife experience.
