Seelie is a key tastemaker in Asia’s music scene and has been showcasing his deep love for music for over two decades. During this time, his passion for dance music culture and its values has manifested in an array of channels. As a DJ, he quickly became a regular throughout the UK’s clubbing institutions and illegal rave scene, playing alongside the likes of Chez Damier, Antal, Palms Trax and MCDE. Once in Bangkok he founded the infamous Transport parties, using warehouses, rooftops and disused strip clubs to curate secret location events across the city. The Transport crew are passionate about representing diversity and showcasing local talent, as well as inviting some of the world’s finest underground artists. Now 9 years in Asia, Seelie has become a permanent fixture at some of the continent’s most renowned underground parties. Playing yearly at festivals such as Wonderfruit and club mecca’s Savage Hanoi, Minh Hong Kong, Zodiac Jakarta, Time Manila, Potato Head Bali and Oath Tokyo. Beyond the club, Seelie has a deep affection for radio and its roots. Whilst being invited on stations such as NTS, Mixmag, Refuge Radio and Kiosk, he began the co-creation of Bangkok Community Radio. This community focused platform has allowed him to invite the likes of Heels & Souls, Eternal Love and Planet Trip’s Mike Who on his breakfast show. An avid record collector and a versatile selector, his DJ sets draw heavily from his love of early US house sounds out of CHicago, Detroit and New York. Born and raised in the North-west of England, he now resides in the Thai Capital and a regular at some of South East Asia’s most prestigious clubs and festivals such as Wonderfruit, Fly to the Moon, Quest, Savage and Beam.
