The lineup features a total of 10 acts, including a DJ set by longtime collaborator AOKI Takamasa—whose collaborative album 28 was reissued last year—along with live performances by Takako Minekawa, Yoyou, and Dove, Kyoto-based artists mareno!, Metoronori, ho Yoshimura, DJs for WWWβ - tai hirose, a side project of phritz under the alias and ~離. Tujiko Noriko, one of Japan’s legendary artists in the alternative pops, is embarking on a tour of Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Sapporo, bringing her latest album, *PON*, released by the prestigious electronic music label Editions Mego from her base in Paris. This latest album is dedicated to her beloved cat, PON—whom she adopted as a child and with whom she shared magical, intimate moments despite PON’s congenital hearing loss—who passed away in an accident. The entire album is filled with an abstract yet gentle and profound resonance that seems to embrace that loss. While retaining his signature serene soundscape, he unleashes the inner essence of electronica—which has experienced a revival more than 25 years after his debut—on a grand scale. The Tokyo show is a joint presentation by PERSONAL CLUβ, 4D, and Hoshi no Oto—all of whom have previously held events at WWW—and features a DJ set by longtime ally AOKI Takamasa, whose collaborative work *28* was reissued last year, along with live performances by Takako Minekawa, Yoyou, Dove, mareno! and Metoronori from Kyoto, Akira Yoshimura, and WWWβ’s DJ set by tai hirose (an alias of phritz)—for a total of 10 acts. PERSONAL CLUβ: Launched in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic as a reaction to the excessive, manic clubs and raves fueled by the oppression of the times, this listening- and live-performance-oriented electronic music event series by melting bot was created to explore immersion in more personal spaces. Kicking off with a secret outdoor gathering with E.O.U. to express the mood and soundscapes of 2020s ambient music—which shifts focus from dance to space—the series showcases a unique curation centered on live electronic music, featuring everything from internet-born cloud rap to organic-leaning obscure music, to electronica—a defining trend of 2000s bedroom music—the series showcases its unique curation by featuring legends of Y2K-era electronic music, all while focusing on electronic music as a live experience. Tujiko Noriko: A musician, singer-songwriter, and video artist based in France. In 2000, Peter Rehberg and Christian Fennesz discovered her first demo tape, leading to her debut on Mego with the album *Shōjo Toshi*. Highly acclaimed within the avant-garde electronica scene, she has been invited to festivals such as Sonar, Benicassim, and Mutek, and performs worldwide. To date, she has released 20 critically acclaimed albums on labels including Editions Mego, FatCat, Room 40, and PAN. Her 2002 album *Hard Ni Sasete* received an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica. He composes music for films, dance performances, animations, and art installations, and has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Peter Rehberg, Nobukazu Takemura, and Lawrence English. In 2005, he produced his first video works, *Sand and Mini Hawaii* and *Sun*, which were screened internationally at venues such as the Cartier Foundation in Paris and Uplink in Tokyo. In 2017, the feature film “Kuro,” which she co-wrote and co-directed with Joji Koyama, premiered at Slamdance 2017 and was also screened on Mubi. From 2020 to 2021, her musical works were featured in the exhibition “Audiosphere” at the Reina Sofía Museum (the first exhibition at a major contemporary art museum to feature no video or physical objects whatsoever). In 2020, she composed the music for the feature film “Surge,” which screened at Sundance and the Berlin International Film Festival, and in 2022, she composed the music for the film “Mission Report” by Mira Sanders and Cédric Noël, which premiered at la Botanique.
